Casinos are one of the largest revenue generators in modern capitalism. The bright lights, flashing signs, and potential to win massive sums of money call to people from all over the world. Out of the more than 2,000 casinos currently open and licensed, these five are the largest in terms of floor space to be found on the planet:

  • WinStar World Casino
  • Venetian Macao
  • City of Dreams Macau
  • Foxwoods Resort Casino
  • Wynn Macau

5. Wynn Macau

Wynn Macau Casino is one of the most impressive resorts and casino combinations in the world, with more than 1,000 hotel rooms, almost 60,000 square feet of retail space, a pool/salon, two spas, and even eight restaurants. That’s not to mention the 273,000 square feet of gaming space. Some of its most notorious attractions include the Dragon of Fortune, Performance Lake, Moon Jelly Aquarium, and Tree of Prosperity.

4. Foxwoods Resort Casino

Foxwoods Resort Casino is an exceptionally large collection of six different casinos and a resort spanning 9 million square feet. This casino boasts Monza Go-Karting, a 350-foot tall zipline, more than 5,000 slot machines, 250 betting tables, and 85 retail stores selling high-class items.

3. City of Dreams Macau

The City of Dreams Macau has an immense 420,000 square feet of gaming space, over 1,300 gaming machines, nightclubs, art exhibits, bars, 1,400 guest rooms, and 520 betting tables. In addition, the Casino has 175,000 square feet of area for shopping. One of their main attractions is the House of Dancing Water which features a sizable virtual aquarium hosting mermaid performances.

2. Venetian Macao

The Venetian Macao Casino is the seventh largest building in the entire world by floor area and includes an impressive 3,000 guest rooms, 1.2 million square feet of rentable convention area, 1.6 million square feet of retail stores, and over half a million square feet of casino and gambling area. One of their main distinguishing features is an amphitheater named the Cotai Arena that seats 15,000 and is chiefly used for sporting events and shows.

1. WinStar World Casino

Sitting at number one on this list is the WinStar World Casino. This incredible building has a gaming space of over 616,000 square feet and more than 7,400 gaming machines. It is run and maintained by the Chickasaw Nation, a Native American tribe residing in northern Oklahoma.
